Situation: O’Neal Industries, the large family-owned metal service center and metal processing company, wanted to monetize its flat rolled service center group, O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals, in order to reinvest the proceeds in its faster growing business segments.

Solution: Headwall managed a sale process that included metals service center companies, steel processors, private equity firms, family offices, and other potential acquirers.  O’Neal Flat Rolled was sold to Norfolk Iron & Metal (“NIM”), a family-owned metals service center company, allowing NIM to meaningfully expand its geographic and product reach while allowing O’Neal to focus on its core business units.
