Situation: The management team of Norfolk Iron & Metal (“NIM”) was seeking to accelerate the company’s growth through a more aggressive pursuit of acquisitions. Having worked “across the table” from Headwall when NIM acquired O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals from O’Neal Industries in 2018, a transaction for which Headwall advise the seller, the NIM management team was comfortable hiring Headwall to act on its behalf.

Solution: After pursuing and evaluating several potential targets, NIM was able to agree on financial terms and close the acquisition of Straub in December 2024.
