Situation:  An investor group had purchased a long-idle EAF steel mill in Mingo Junction, Ohio, renamed Acero Junction, with the intention of restarting the mill to produce flat rolled steel.  The ownership group faced a challenging and costly restart effort and wanted to evaluate its strategic alternatives.

Solution:  Headwall completed a detailed assessment of the mill’s re-start process and costs, and its risk-adjusted value to the investor group. After evaluating various strategic alternatives, Headwall supported the ownership group's sale of Acero Junction to JSW Steel USA.
